Gill beats Walsh, both 21.40+
CHRISTCHURCH (NZL, Feb 6): Former teen prodigy Jacko Gill set a 21.52m PB with his first attempt in the shot put at the International Track Meet in Christchurch (WAT Bronze) to defeat Tom Walsh who recorded successive throws of 21.43m, 21.42m, and 21.46m, his best of the day. Incredibly this was Gill’s second meeting of the day after throwing 21.19m earlier in the day in Lower Hutt near Wellington.
